Me and Wyatt hop off of our horses beside the lake.

The sounds of the waterfall rushing down and crashing against the lake crowds my ears and the smell of grass take over my sense of smell.

I close my eyes and let myself take in the noises and smells.

I open my eyes again and look down at Wyatt who’s sat on the ground admiring the view.

"This place is beautiful," he lets out a small breath.

I nod. "Yep." I grab my flask and fill it with the lake water. I do the same with Wyatt’s for him while he continues to rest and take in the view.

"Prince Alric?"

"Hm?" I put our flasks back into each of our satchels.

"What are we going to do when we find Clem?"

I pause. I hadn’t really thought that far. I clear my throat and close my satchel, "It’s not just Clem we’re after."

He glances back at me. "No?"

I shake my head and sit down. "I need to talk to Princess Anastasia and Prince Eiran."

"You think they’d want to talk to you?"

I hesitate. "I don’t know."

Wyatt turns around completely to face me. "Why do you need to talk to them anyway?"

"We’re going to declare a war against my father."
