STORY STARTER

Submitted by Bailey Lindblad

You come home after a long day at the office, and collapse into bed. You feel something under your pillow. You pull out bloody feathers from some kind of black bird...

FLAMES

I am the first sound in the morning,

How comes that you don’t know my name?

I do so many and all good, better than you will ever do,

That’s so true, yeah, you can hate, but don’t you think that I will fade.

Don’t you see they know me by the looks,

I’ve got pretty eyes, unlike you do,

And I will shine through all I do,

Don’t you say I’m just passing through…

You call me when you don’t have enough space to go look into their eyes,

But all they’ve got are flames, as you walk by,

you never catch my eye…

People want flames,

they choose the games with fiery flames,

They searched the flames,

When they don’t get flames that’s when they make them,

I’ll be retiring, this kind of love is not for me,

By tomorrow I’ll never look at you when you need,

you just want flames, you just want flames.

you never cared but of flames…

How you want the world to get aligned and say that you’re that one?

How do you want the world to fall down when catch your eye?

How do you want the world to say hi, then goodbye,

When it’s over, you’ll be all alone, no one to get your lines.

People want flames,

Don’t that all the flames they get,

Are not ‘cause of them,

They break the chains with fiery flames,

How dare you hate, how dare you try to kill this chance,

You can leave signs on all places I hide in, for me you’re just kidding,

I’m not afraid, you can bomb but not without limits,

You just want flames, you just need flames,

I’ll be retiring, this kind of love is not for me,

You just want flames, you just need flames,

…are all you ever cared…
