POEM STARTER
Confession.
Write a poem, with a set structure, which centres around the theme of confession.
Big feelings
I know I don't show it,
but my feelings are bigger than my weight.
Larger than a cannonball,
and unwilling to go unheard unless recognized.
I thought they would subside,
but ultimately they love attention.
They love being the center of the ride.
My feelings don't back down.
After all, they own the show.
Nothing I can do about that
So I master them and create a flow.
Time is ticking that I know,
but my feelings can't be forced or hurried,
or they'll carry me alone.
I'll try to fight them, but they'll always win.
What can I say?
My feelings can go overboard
All the way to the brim.
