Stories
Here we are, after so long
Everything laid bare, it feels so wrong
Just when I thought things would be right
I can’t stop dreaming about that night
About the thunder crashing down
The laughs, the glances, the silent town
The rain landing on my new dress
Our shoes soaked, your hair a mess
We followed the streetlights back home
Where the puddles live and the cats roam
You said the moon looked just like me
With your reckless smile and that scar on your knee
That silent night
We stared at the rain
You touched my hair, I said your name
I closed my eyes listening to your stories
I told you mine and you kissed away my worries.
