In The Dark
Fear is a dangerous thing
No one likes to show it, but we all know we feel it
It makes us do things
Awful things
We can see better with light
But when someone turns them out, we are blind
If we cannot see one another
We are afraid of what we can do
Scrambling in the darkness, refusing to be last
We think we have more light to make it through
But the truth of it is
We all look the same in the dark
In the darkness, we try to leave before anyone can catch us
Alone
It takes two to see each other
But it starts with one, finding the light
Think its easier to see ourselves in the dark?
It’s not
It’s better to lie in the dark, than reveal truth in the light
We all look the same in the dark
