A group of teenagers stumble upon something they shouldn’t have.

Natalie was running on ahead of us like she usually does. I mean I’m a fast walker but actually jogging on a nature trail? I mean come on take it easy. We have 8 miles to walk round trip to see this waterfall. We really need to pace ourselves. I once again went over the checklist I had in my head. Water, snacks, blanket if we want to sit down and picnic. And of course some much needed “adult juice” aka the amazing marionberry wine we picked up from a friend in town. And maybe a joint or two. I mean it was a nature trip after all.

It had been a great day. The sun was shining over head. Not too hot. Just the right temp for a waterfall hike. Denise and carol were walking a bit behind me. Gossiping about whatever Dexter had done yesterday. That guy was hot as hell but dumb as a box of bricks too. I could never get my head around why girls could spend more then a few months with him. Not worth it to me. I want to date someone with more culture. Like Warren. Now there was a man. He was in the drama department and boy did he have a wicked smile and was very thoughtful and incitful too.

“Teresa where’s Natalie?” Denise called out to me. I had stop to take a picture of a tree that had the light hitting it at just the right angle.

“She ran up ahead, I don’t know why she has to jog like that. She’ll probably wait for us when she needs a rest.”

“Well hopefully that’s soon I’m itching to light this thing up!” As carol held up our second joint of the day. Scoring those had been amazing. Denise had a hookup with her college boyfriend and it has paid off for us like you wouldn’t believe. Couldn’t get any magic mushrooms for this trip, but maybe next one when we can spend the night.

A huge smash though the trees up ahead. Sounded like rocks falling and a huge yelp that sounded like Natalie came from up ahead. We all turned to look at each other

“What was that?”

“Natalie!!” Carol screamed.

We all start running towards the path ahead. Straight into the awaiting trap someone had set.
