Laurent was always a curious child. When he found out he was the child of goodness, it shocked him. He went up to live with his father, and liked it. But then, the training started. At the age of 15, he was always trained in magic and persuasion and fighting. But he always had to be perfect. No matter what. Even if it depended on his life, he was taught perfection was key. And when he didn’t succeed in perfection, he got punished. Whether it be humiliation of being called imperfect or hitting, it always felt terrible. So he pushed himself to be absolutely flawless, the perfect poster boy for his father. It changed him, but there’s still the small rebelling part of him in there,somewhere. (Side note, great plot point would be Asha helping him discover who he turely is and wants to be)
