Silence

It’s deafening yet disheartening

It’s when I can hear the air conditioning, the birds outside my window, aswell as my pounding heartbeat

Its a sign somethings wrong

Wrong with me, or my life

I can’t breathe

Nothings happening outside of me but in my head the thoughts run wild

Running without bounds against a Time Machine

Scared I’m gonna stop them or fight back

Silence reminds me most of the drip drip dripping of water

This nagging sound in my ear

Rushing me, knawing at me until I’m open and raw

Waiting for it to stop

To let me go

To let me be busy again

Something to distract me

Someone walking in the room breaking our tension

The pressure and the silence weighing me down on my chest, body, and mind
