WRITING OBSTACLE
Inspired by Junie
Write a story from the perspective of an owl at night.
How would their senses be different, and how could you describe this?
The Transformation
Selene looked out at the trees from her balcony. She knew tonight was the night. All her training and preperation had lead to this moment. She had to be able to do it. Selene took a breath climbed to the edge of the stone balustrade edge, spread out her arms and jumped.
Selene felt herself falling. She focused on her breathing concentrating on harnessing her energy into her transformation. Her arms that now were wings, caught the wind and allowed her to glide. The wind that was blowing through her hair now blew through her feathers. Selene felt her vision get sharper and the sounds around her become more clear. Her body stoppped falling and started gliding through the air. She had done it she transformed into an owl.
Selene glided through the woods. She was amazed at what she could see and hear. She could hear the wind through the trees, she could hear mice running through the fields. She looked down and saw a snake weaving through the grass. Selene continued to fly for a while ecstatic that she had done it.
Selene flew back to her balcony and perched at the top of the balustrade. She looked out and took in the forrest surrounding her. She could not smile in her current form but on the inside she was jumping for joy. She knew that now that she had completed her transformation she was ready.
