Roygie and the Young Woman.
Roygie was onstage, basking in the warmth of the spotlight. The crowd cheering, popcorn being thrown in the air recklessly. Ness stood in the crowd, trying to calm them down. Today is particularly rowdy. she threw the rubber balls up high in the air, catching them just in time to throw the other one up in the air. Suddenly she locked her eye onto a particular young woman in the audience. she was wearing a puffy white long-sleeved shirt, much like her own, and a long brown skirt. she had brown and white flowers tucked into her hair. She just sat down in her seat calmly, laughing politely. _I wanna be friends with her⦠She seems so nice._ Roygie thought. Suddenly her coding kicked in. _I cannot build relationships, for they are useless. _Nessā work. āRobots and humans can never be friendsā¦!ā She remembered Ness yelling to her and her fellow performers backstage one night. Suddenly a rubber ball dropped to the ground. She had gotten distracted and failed to perform her show. As they had practiced, Mx. Polka pulled her off the stage and went on to perform their own act. _Oh god_, she thought. _Iām gonna be recoded._
