You were such a beautiful soul,

I didn’t know that losing you would take such a toll.

The day you died,

It was such a surprise.

But now I smile through the tears,

Remembering what we had over the years.

The memories fade from soft pink tones,

Into colors blurred, yet still our own.

You had the most gorgeous eyes,

And the light that shone from you, even in the darkest of nights, could never be disguised

You shaped me into someone new,

A self l I think I’ve lost without you.

I never got to say goodbye or thank you,

So now I hold all of these words that I wish I could say.

But it’s okay, because I believe you heard them anyway.
