Snowy Owl

She awakens in the tundra white

A phantom carved from northern light

A silent hunter, she takes flight

Disappearing in arctic haze

Stalking shivers in the frost

Her prey now was doomed, starcrossed

She strikes a patch of glacial moss

Talons excavate an icy maze

She hunts without battlecry

A deadly ghost under frozen sky

Born to seek and born to fly

She fades into a snowy glaze
