STORY STARTER
You are onstage making a very important speech when you suddenly reveal something you shouldn't have done.
Write from the moment the reveal happens. Who is your character, and what is the audience's response?
The Address
The President of the United States coughed.
The audience, made up of the Extra-Galactic Alliance, stared at him in shock.
“Ummm,” the President said.
“You know these darn teleprompters … sometimes they have hiccups … of course I meant to say, we look forward with ANTICIPATION to our continued alliance … nothing at all about DOMINATION …heh heh…”
His eyes shifted as he spoke.
I really need a vacation, he thought.
