VISUAL PROMPT

Prompt submitted by Tenshi

Write a poem about what streetlights make you think of.

A Memory Of Streetlights

If I linger too long staring at a streetlight

I’ll become lost in its bulb of white

The melancholy takes me as I think of that night

Dancing and smiling as the pole holds me right

As I spin round and round I can’t let you slip from my sight

We bath in the glow that washes us bright

And I can’t help but know I finally feel alright

Thank god for streetlights, your eyes, and memories that take flight.
