Write a story where your characters communicate without using speech.
Perhaps create a narrative around a situation where the characters are not allowed to speak openly, relying on non-verbal cues to communicate.
Understanding
I look down at Noor and give her a questioning look. Her eyes are tired and she’s quieter than usual. Silent.
She simply leans against me. I wrap an arm around her and pull her closer against my chest. I kiss the top of her head, rubbing her arm.
She inhales and exhales deeply.
She’s tired.
