"_Words are wasted on those who do not listen_, you said," my wife, Anastasia, starts as she walks into my office.

"Bubbles," I look up from my paperwork.

She looks even more happier than usual.

"Well guess what?" Anastasia slams a piece of paper victoriously onto my oak wood desk and slides it over to me. "Alric did listen!"

I stare at her blankly. "You cannot be serious."

She grabs it again and waves it infront of my face. "Read it for yourself!"

I read the letter.

_ _ I look up at Ana, "And you seriously don’t think he’s playing us?"

"Uh.."

"Anastasia."

"Come on, Eiran! If he really is, we’ll be prepared to fight if he leads us into a trap. We have the men, the power. They are a Pyro kingdom on their own-"

"A very powerful one."

"And we are two kingdoms that contain both Neuro and Pyros!" she continues. "We will be prepared!"

I give her a deadpanned expression.

She sighs softly. "And we will be bound to meet him at some point before the war. I need to know that Tinka is okay, even if it’s just a lie."

Something inside me cracks and I sigh heavily. "Fine."
