-6 (Old Ground, New Stars)
For the heavens hold wealth,
At the cost of such ego death.
But it’s in service of the soul,
The one who chose to no longer be coal.
“These stars are mine, but you shine forever brighter”
I feel the grass beneath feet,
It grows faster than I do.
What such an amazing feat,
To feel the air and stay true.
“This ground is ours, but we will be stronger”
The air is rough against my cheek,
And thus I turn to what I seek.
A horizon worth a thousand seeds,
All I need is to burn all these weeds.
“The horizon craves our presence”
…
I love you baby 🖤
