DWD

She made it loud,

She made it clear,

No one listened

When she was here.

She made it out

Of all the fear,

At piece knowing

The end was near.

She took her life,

Ended her pain,

To end the torture

In her brain.

She was the light,

Could not be tamed,

Until they left her,

Scarred and stained.

She never could escape the past,

Even when she tried,

She felt so stuck and powerless,

Too numb to even cry.

Some people called her selfish

She felt she had no choice.

She died clutching her dignity,

But never had a voice.

Now that she’s been gone for a while,

And she has found her peace,

She never looked back at all,

Just whispered, “forgive me please”
