STORY STARTER
"Be careful out there."
Use this as the closing line to a short story.
To Desire Is To Suffer
Do you not remember the promise we made?
For eternity our love held intricate and adoring like a balustrade
The deepness of our complexities shared and appreciated
Our kin undeprived of love
Love outside of evil,
Evil outside of love.
The death of our kin for our dreams
However, your dream enriched by desire
Does death ever mean so little to you?
Many nights of aching sorrow
Pain ignited by the betrayal and desire of another
Yet all you wanted materialistic and aesthetics
Aesthetics of desire
You said we were enough only to show you were a liar
Deny what we were
Deny what we had
Yet you are only Peter
Scared to admit only for admiration of something more, in your heart.
Even though Peter denied Jesus three times, Jesus still forgave him
I forgive what has been done even if you do not see the fault
Your heart swoon by desire
Desire blinds the heart of the truth and reality
As said in Buddhist teachings, to desire is to suffer,
Is it my fault for not addressing the underlying suffering of trauma you had all this time?
I propose to myself that you are wretched for denying us and that your a hypocrite
But what ever comes of it. I hold guilt of the things I did to you, not violent or demeaning in any way, things I never did and things I failed to do to show my love.
The annunciation of love will never be enough, through action can we as humans understand love. Your actions of desire may feel like love and happiness, but you just become a slave of what it is you want most.
Do you remember our promise?
Because I have not forgotten.
