I ran down the street as fast as I can, I hadn’t even realized I still had my hero mask on until I got to the front down. I ripped off the mask and threw down. In mid air it faded again into magic, flowing back into the magical pendant I wore. I tore open the door, calling out for my brothers names. The house seemed empty and I began to panic.

“Joshua? Taylor?” I called out, my heart was racing so fast it began to to heart, but I couldn’t worry about that.

Was I too late? Did he come before me? Panic erupted inside of me. I stormed up the stairs. I was beginning to lose hope when Joshua’s door opened. Josh peaked threw, I could see the instant relief in his eyes when he saw me. I ran towards him, swinging the door open and hugging him.

“Bailey! Thank goodness you’re here.” Josh looked up at me.

I smiled back, I looked around his room, expecting to see Taylor, but it was just me and Josh. “Josh, where Taylor?” I began to panic again.

Josh’s smile faltered into frown, “Someone, or something, took him. I tried to stop it, but I wasn’t strong enough.” Tears began to form around his eyes.

My heart broke, I had to save Taylor. I placed my hands upon Josh’s face. “Joshua, I need to go and stay with Mrs. Ginger okay? Don’t let anyone inside the house, I mean anyone. Got that?”

Josh nodded, I stood up, retrieving my hands from him. “Bailey, stop! Tell me what going on, no more secrets. That thing said that it was your fault. What does it mean? And does it want with Taylor?” I turned around to face my twelve year old brother. He was right, given everything that happened, he deserved to know.

“Joshua, I’m….” I sighed, was he going to understand? I took a deep breath, “I’m a superhero.” I looked away, afraid of what his reaction would be.

Josh stood there in disbelief, he lifted up an eyebrow. I opened my mouth to speak, to clarify things, but Josh spoke first. “You know what? I lot of things just happened in the span of thirty minutes so you and me are gonna discuss this later.” His gaze softened, “Taylor is in dangered, so please sis, save him.”

I smiled and nodded with determination. The pedant around my neck began to glow as my hero suit sparkled on me. Josh stood there shaped, he smile and nodded, then I took off. That thing had my brother and I will stop at nothing to save him. Raven, you messed with the wrong superhero.
