My Favorite drowsy Day
It seemed like it would last forever
This beautiful breeze
It would touch my bared face and knees
I wouldn’t leave, never
I couldn’t be torn from the rain
As it danced at my windows
The time that the grooms would marry the widows
They would never experience pain
I would walk and walk
And the town would talk and talk
I could hear the kids screaming at tricks
Running around in their costumes
hoping that they wouldn’t trip
Entering the houses with ghostly fume, what a beautiful day of doom
