POEM STARTER
Write an elegy about the death of something other than a person.
An elegy is a sad poem, traditionally expressing sorrow for someone who has passed away.
Death To A Song
I didn’t notice it was missing
The lack of it
The empty feeling only struck me when i had my back turned
Until i herd silence weeping
Loss seeped in but felt like a distant itch
Music was dead, I killed it
Smothered the idea of a song from existing for another high
Blue screens, few things caught me quicker.
only a minute,
i turned for only a minute, It was all it needed
My song now gone, unheard
words left unfinished, I killed it
So now for remembrance
I whistle the tune clawed into the grays of my brain
as I Ink this page with black
Ready to face the music
