snap shot

One.

Smile big. It’s beginning.

You don’t know much. But you know you.

Two.

Be distracted. You’re gonna find your way.

Eyes wide. Take it in.

Three.

Focus in. Talk more about less.

Shake in repentance.

Four.

First love. Give it away.

Look for friends who choose to stay.

Five.

Run free. Play around with your sound.

Get loud. Stand out in a crowd.

Six.

First miss. Never said goodbye before.

Big building. Lots of doors.

Seven.

Bottom rung. Stress out on every whim.

Late again. Learning all the songs they sung.

Eight.

Disconnected from. Walk outside.

Take in the sun.

Nine.

Loosen up. Leave behind.

Move away, the cycle reset.

Ten.

First want. Not the last.

Dance until 10:30 past.

Eleven.

Speed up. Work until sunset.

Discover how to write truth.

Twelve…

Denial hits. The record skips.

Close calls.

Friendship falls.

Merriment,

Sorrow too.

Time: a big pair of scissors
