"Surely there's something better to do in here than sleep."

The man just shrugged.

"Like, say, whatever you disappear to go do all day?"

"Trust me, kid, I wish I was sleeping."

"But why are you special? Like, what do you have going on?"

"Nothing worth thinking about."

"How'd you even get here, anyway?"

He looked at him.

"I'm a criminal."

"Well, obviously. But, like... what crime?" It must have been something financial, like money laundering or something. Liam couldn't imagine this guy committing any type of violent crime.

"Quit asking questions, kid."

"What'll you do if I don't?" He smirked at him. "Disappear me, too?"

The man's eyes flicked up.

"What?"

"They told me you made someone disappear. Don't tell me that was actually true?"

The man looked down.

"I think you'd better leave me alone."

"Woah, shit, okay. Wouldn't want you to disappear me." He put his hands up in mock surrender, but was at least a little genuinely nervous. "Will you at least tell me your name?"

"Will you let me go back to sleep?"

Liam nodded eagerly.

"Drew."

"Nice to meet you, Drew. I think we'll be friends."

He snorted.

"Sure, kid."
