Janet couldn’t believe her eyes. She was being rescued by Wolf Man, the most mysterious superhero in the city.

Suit of black, face mask and full of stealth, he was known to everybody; the city could never seem to stop talking about his defining characteristic. He never took pride in his successes or his popularity; his tendency was to fight every bad guy and then quickly vanish before anyone could interact with him.

Then one thing gave it all away.

It was that bite mark on the back of his neck. The one Janet remembered from the time he was bitten by a rabid wolf. She could spot it because of a tear in his mask.

“Lance?” she cried, utterly shocked.

“Lance? Who’s Lance?” Wolf Man tried to hide his true identity, but his voice was also instantly recognizable to Janet.

As he turned around, embarrassed, Janet grabbed his face mask and pulled it off. There he was: Lance.
