WRITING OBSTACLE

In a short scene, how can your protagonist say “I won’t forget you” without literally saying the words “I won’t forget you”?

Forever and always

"No! Don't leave, please. I mean- what would I do?"

"You'll have to figure it out. I don't want to leave, but if I stay you'll be in danger"

"I DON'T CARE! I would sell my soul if it means you won't leave! Why can't you say the same for me?! "

"Because I would rather be the one to die then live knowing I failed you. I would rather be the one to leave then risk killing you. I couldn't live with that, I could never fail to remember what you've given me. You gave me a heart, Jenna, but the heart you gave me comprised your life. I can't live like that."

"I love you, Diane, do you know that?"

"I never doubted it. I love you to, forever and always. "

"Forever and always."

I know it's all dialogue, btw. It wasn't meant to have description. I hope this captured your attention, and thank you for reading!
