Clouds cover the skies, rain pulls at your eyes,

But nothing hurts as much as little words turning into lies.

You gave someone your trust- your heart in their hands- Is honesty and respect too much to demand?

Relationships start off sweet, like a light breeze in the sky, that feeling of love - so strong you can fly.

But like most things in life, it comes with a date.

An ending ordained by time, or by fate.

We always hope that it should happen naturally.

We want to look back and truly say we were happy.

That’s not what happened here though, I’m sad to say. It was a life built on deceit, you were just led astray.

The painful realisation that you fell for the trap, horrible mind games fell right into your lap.

That beautiful bond, now shattered like glass.

Leaving only a shadow you now struggle to pass.
