POEM STARTER
Confession.
Write a poem, with a set structure, which centres around the theme of confession.
Before Us And The Truth Is Worth Nothing
It really is true that nothing comes for free
I should’ve told you everything about me
It was a silly mistake on my part
But now I’m falling apart
If you give me another chance
This time I’ll ask you to dance
I was scared and at the time wasn’t really aware
That truth was something I couldn’t bare
If I could change my words
Reveal the truth that had been blurred
I would take your hand
And tell you where we stand
I took the easy way out
That included just me to sprout
I watched your passion die
Right in front of my eyes
My dearest butterfly
Please don’t cry
Here is my truth
I’ll tell it while the lie is still at youth
