Hour Glasses
I drive to work every day
Fantasize the entire way
Imagine a place in the sky filled with hour glasses
Where they hold our memories and all our time that passes
There’s a little man up there who still can see me at ten years old
While I was still so tiny and learning how to be so bold
He can still hear me laugh up there the laugh before I changed it
The one that came natural before a girl of fifteen told me it was strange and
Though we can’t go back
There will always be a lot to unpack
Things that still remain
From all the things that we can’t change
