Trapped.

Body won’t budge.

I wanna move, but it’s too hard.

Feeling heavy, yet weightless.

Time is slipping. Window closing.

The stress is seeping in.

Such state I don’t wanna leave.

Such condition I loathe to abandon.

But I must for choices aren’t given.

To stay or to go, my sentiment is naught.

Please move, I tell myself.

Faulty wiring. Repressed signal.

Why can’t I just remain here?

Where it’s safe, secure, and sacred.

My eyes want to recede, but the pressure.

It’s just too alerting.

I hear a jarring sound. A pulse sent through me.

It prolongs.

The levels are rising.

Urgency won’t leave me be.

Afterthought after naught—here they come.

I have to do something.

For this comfort will definitely kill me.
