WRITING OBSTACLE
Write a dialogue scene in which two characters have an important conversation while playing hide and seek.
How will you use this scenario to compliment the dialogue?
Hide and Seek
Me and Hassan hide in the storage room.
His law teacher and my psych teacher decided it would be fun for both of their classes to play hide and seek.. yeah. That basically sums up how unserious they are.
And they’re the seeker.
They have half an hour timer to find all of us. If all the students get found, we have our exams next week. If the teachers fail to find us, they get postponed by a month.
They’re unseriousness does benefit us sometime.
"This is so stupid," I slump against the door behind me and pull out my phone.
"I know," Hassan sighs and leans against one of the blue-grey metal shelves. He glances down at me. "What are you doing?"
"Asking Rehan where he is."
"You know," he stands up straighter. "Ayan doesn’t like him very much."
My thumb pauses, hovering over the send button. I turn off my phone and look up at him, frowning. "What? Why?"
Hassan shrugs. "I reckon he’s jealous."
I snort. "Ayan? Jealous of Rehan? About what?"
"You."
My eyebrows raise slightly and my eyes widen.
Ayan? Jealous over me? Hassan must be lying.
"You can’t be serious."
Hassan nods and walks over besides me and sits down. "Very. You think I would lie about something like this? I’m not Zihad."
I make an agreeing noise. "That’s true."
"Anyway, I swear his mood is always turned off whenever Rehan’d name pops up."
"Why would he be jealous over me?" I lean my head against the door and look at him.
Hassan smirks. "You’re not stupid, Noor. So don’t act like you are."
