Wildfire
If desires are a flame,
Then I am a wildfire.
My lust - it has no shame!
It thrusts and burns - this desire!
Pushing, grinding me down
This fire can’t be quelled
It consumes me, toe to crown!
My desire won’t be felled!
Taking me, making me melt —
Lighting me, fighting my will!
All I know is what is felt,
All I need now is this thrill!
Burn me, turn me into ash,
Nothing matters but this heat!
Fold then unfold me with every lash,
Disintegrating wherever we meet!
What can put an end to this yen?
This yearning will tear me asunder!
This raving, craving, comes again,
No matter what, it makes me plunder!
This pulsating force, so deep inside
Knows no earthly controls!
I’m its captive, just here for the ride,
Succumbed to its wrathful goals.
So it is, I shall covet and ache.
Forever, I must thirst and pine!
This beast inside that knows no sake,
Insatiable, insane! This wildfire of mine!
