I take a deep breath as the elevator doors open with a ping welcoming me into the 9th circle of hell. Today will be the day I am unaffected by Brandy- and this thought is immediately squelched when I hear the familiar witches cackle that makes the hairs on my arm stand up. I whip my head back and forth, certain the hellhounds have been released and set upon me by her vicious call. I almost wish they would. I enter the office and make eye contact with the bane of my existence Brandy Miller. Funny how I once thought she was pretty but now all I see is the devil incarnate that she is. Her blond hair bounces playfully as she throws her head back to giggle at Mike and the rest of them. They have all fallen under her spell and I stand their fuming in my disgust. Her eel eyes shoot daggers at me, ones of victory. Her too long legs pivot and march their way over to me, ringing out my death call. I unknowingly recoil from her presence as she turns the brightness up on her smile and makes a show of talking loud enough for the others to hear.

“Hey Sarah, I read your proposal last night and thought it was great but I felt like it could use some tweaks. I would be more then happy to help you since I’ve been doing this a lot longer then you have.”

I grimace in return and bite through my thanks and turn away. Bitch.
