STORY STARTER
You walk past someone in the street that you vaguely recognise. When you turn back, the person is staring at you in shock.
State Of Shock
Jasmin was now walking really fast across the street. The street lamps were lighting the way.
"Why did this day need to end like that??" she told herself out loud. She wasn't even aware of it, but who cared?
The only remedy she knew for stress was walking. And by walking, she meant walking a lot until she was tired enough to finally sleep. She hadn't found much rest these days.
But then she saw a man. He was tall, wearing a long grey coat with a bowler hat. The bowler hat reminded her of Cedar. Cedar was a madman she knew well from her time working in the night security service. It was because of her that he was in prison for five years, but that was another story.
She walked past him, but then she only heard her own steps. The man had stopped walking behind her.
Jasmin felt a strong presence emanating from behind her back. It was only at that moment that she realized she wasn't walking anymore. Her right arm were grabbed tightly behind her. She slowly turned her head in the direction of the man. That's where she saw an expression she would never forget.
The man was astonished. His expression was deformed by shock.
But this expression terrified Jasmin more than she could ever have imagined.
She forced her arm back and continued walking, but faster. Even faster. She couldn't run. How could she? Did he recognize her? How could he be here? He was still supposed to have another six years in prison !
She was alone here, she needed to pretend she hadn't seen anything. He was too close to do anything else anyway. Jasmin still had a chance.
