POEM STARTER
Write a poem that is grotesquely romantic.
This could mean a poem that’s overly lovey-dovey, one that has a romantic theme but grotesque imagery, or something else altogether.
I Die, I Live
I love her
I die, I live
For her soul I breathe
For her love I am lost
I shall halt the morning star to set
And if the moon its course has met
I shall burn with passion to see my love
And carve her face in heavens above
Her kiss lingers on my lonesome lip
Sleep evades me when not by her hip
No angel could compare her radiance
No musical rhyme could define her elegance
I love her
I live, I die
For her soul I breathe
For her life I am
