Us
The strangers in the shadows
Mock and jeer as they skip through the gallows
They swing joy fully with nooses meant to hang them
The horrendous villains many wish they could maim
But I ask you one thing
One small little question, I promise it won’t sting
Does the strangers in the shadows laughter not appeal to you?
We say they reside in misery but that simply does not seem true
For while they laugh and swing, dive and duck
It is you and I who remain stuck
We watch the strangers in the shadows, but they never watch us
