POEM STARTER
Write a poem about taking a gamble.
Your interpretation can include the classic ideas associated with gambling, or something more metaphorical.
Spontaneity
A breath
A sway
I don’t look before I lay
Living by rule of worry is out
Spontaneity is in but not without
Fear that something may
Happen without my wanting
But alas out of my control
I strive to let things go
And unclench the fist that kept ahold
The shackles I call caution
After all I would miss
Living in this unrehearsed bliss we call life
