You trace the black trickle of water down your bedroom wall. It was the 9th one you have found, it was then you notice where the black liquid is coming from- the air vent. You reach up and crawl in. You notice a soft thudding noise- as if someone is trying to break through your vent walls. You follow the noise, it leads you to a bigger compartment in your vent. At first you sense nothing- then the smell hits you a putrid sort of smell that feels like it’s suffocating you. After your eyes clear you see little pieces of paper, some weathered and old and some newer but all had the same format- a name, a date of death and a description. Then a figure materializes out of nowhere, a black darker than the shadows and a rotting cloak over their body. You open your mouth to scream, but he opens his mouth and sucks all the light out of you, it feels like drowning- actually kind of refreshing. But now all you are, are history- just another piece of paper on the wall.
