WRITING OBSTACLE

Think of three words that describe your main antagonist's personality the best.

Write a paragraph about how each of them applies to the character. You may have more than one antagonist, but try to choose the primary one.

Kalliope (d)

Anchored, witty, and ambitious.

Anchored: Kalliope’s composure takes after her father. Even keeled in the face of danger and her mind racing through the logical solution. Emotion isn’t removed from her personality by any stretch but instead is tied closely with her ability to reason. For better or worse this is her lens through which the world is viewed.

Witty: Not the one to start the teasing but usually the one to end it. Kalliope has a developed sense of humor that edges on the dark side making her quick to respond, but at times responding to harshly in rhetoric. For better or worse this is her voice through which the world is rationalized.

Ambitious: Being the lone child in her family the bar was very high for what she must achieve to earn her parents respect, though their love was always freely given. Kalliope often pushed her physical, mental, and spiritual limits in order to pursue being the best version of herself. “Only dead fish go with the flow of the river” is a mantra she holds close as she attempts great feats. For better or worse her ambition is the driving force taking her through the world.
