Mark looks intently at Wanda, “Do you want me to continue or not?” She responds silently with nothing but a single tear falling down her cheek with the slightest nod. “What was I to do when you told me you were going off to college.” He says. “I really love you so much and now I can tell you that without me having any doubts.” He stares at her rapidly shaking knee. “You do know that right, that I love you.” She once again shakes her head slowly in agreeance. “So calm down because I am not trying to scare you.” Mark stands up slowly and walks over one foot after another and leans closely to Wanda. He slowly lowers the bandana he tied around her mouth. “HELP!” She screams at the top of her lunges. “Now why would you go and do that.” He puts the bandana back over her mouth and just as he is about to let go she bites his finger. “Ouucchhhhh you b****” now why would you go and do something like that.” He slams his not pained hand on the table adjacent to her. “You know, words are wasted on those who don’t listen.” Nobody can hear you here and nobody ever will but me. So think carefully about your next move.” He takes one huge breathe and with his exhale comes a smile. “I love you babe, will you marry me.” He pulls out a handmade tissue ring that he had places in a box out of his pocket and places it on her lap.
