“Autumn you’re here!” The teenager exclaimed as she ran to the young woman whom had just passed the time gate

“It’s strange usually you’re not this excited, summer” the woman giggled “on the contrary you try to delay me as much as possible”

“Well I feel kinda guilty for last year” summer said not quite meeting autumn’s eyes “I’ve been told that you didn’t have much time here before winter took over and I know how much you like not being ‘there’ even if I don’t get why”

The woman gave the young girl a surprised look, it was odd, summer never really cared about the other seasons, as far as she was concerned the humans loved her the most “I see…”maybe this was a sign of her growing, sure she would always be a teenager physically and it did take her at least two millennia to have a bit of consideration for autumn but at least it was something

“How about you tell me about this last season? We have a bit of time before you go back”

“I was waiting for you to ask!” And with a smile on her face summer started talking about her season, autumn was sure that if the time gate hadn’t appeared as the equinox came to an end then summer would have kept on talking

“Oh what a bummer I have to go” the young girl pouted

“At least you can have fun with spring he’s been sad since the summer solstice, apparently me and winter are boring” that managed to get a smile back on the girl

“He’s just a whiny little kid, but I also can’t say he’s wrong” summer added approaching the gate

“Hey! I’m not boring” autumn protested as the younger laughed

“See you at the winter solstice Autumn!” She said finally passing the gate

“I’ll see you then summer!” Autumn waved at the girl until she dissaperd in the doorway

“Well I seriously hope this autumn is going to last a bit longer I’m getting tired of coming here and leaving in a week’s time”
