POEM STARTER

Submitted by Robin Marlowe

Write a poem about unseasonable weather. e.g. A warm day in the winter, or snow in the summer.

Seasons Greetings

We were swimming outside in Cleveland

On a warm muggy Christmas day

We were skiing in Hawaii, snorkeling in Maine

Oh how we did play

Surf was up in New York, we went sledding in Arizona

On that muggy, and hot Christmas day

The dolphins cried to warn us, we did not listen

We were too busy having fun to hear what they had to say

As the storms came crashing down, we were having fun

On that abysmally hot soggy Christmas day

As we fought the waters so we could breathe

We finally heard what the dolphins had to say

Goodbye
