POEM STARTER
Deep Roots
Write a poem about the importance of roots - it could be physical (like a tree) or metaphorical (like a character's upbringing), or a comparison of both!
Lineage
Centuries ago stood families who stood and weathered every storm against diseases and circumstances that plagued them. Generations rooted in times of royalty, feudalism, lack of indoor plumbing, and suddenly one marries a Duke or one of means then that branches off another part of the family that is well to do. Another son or daughter marries a non-blood spouse and then is multiple branches with their own issue, who then issue their own issue. Family trees and branches are a hell of a thing. Like trees with multiple leaves, the branches that support them. There is the main tree branch, the solid oak, the foundation for which started it all. That singular and solid line runs through all of them.
