WRITING OBSTACLE

Create a narrative surrounding a single emotion, using bumper cars as the central metaphor.
Let the impact of the collisions, motions, and thrills guide your prose or poetry.
Two Tickets
I never did good with feelings. Nope, not my thing. I always relied on the tried and true art of deflection, or sometimes anger, I guess. I am reminded of this as I stand here in line, watching the excitement on Micahs face as he awaits such a silly ride. Bumper cars. Micah said once that loving me was like bumper cars, and for the longest time I thought it was a negative thing. But now? Here I am watching him basically vibrate with excitement. I just don’t get it.
We’re at the front of the line now. Ive checked the pocket I put the tickets in at least six tomes now, and I hate to admit but I think they’re gone. ‘Uhh… I said two tickets please?’Stupid fucking ticket guy keeps staring at me like I’m a moron. A quick request to my cybernetic eye turns it a violent red, and I lean into this guy real close. I hiss something like ‘Let us in or I’ll laser your fucking brains out’ Of course he lets us through now. My eye ain’t equipped with a laser function, I gotta admit I was just havin’ fun.
Micah and I settle into seperate car, Im too heavy for us to share one. The buzzer sounds and I immediately find myself targeted by my dear lover, ramming into me over and over again, both of us laughing too hard to notice anything else going on in the world.
