I fell in love with,

The ghost of a boy

A guy who i knew

Yet he was a toy

A puppet on strings

He knew he controlled

To follow along

With the act that he sold

He hid away

And put his walls up

Safety to protect,

Him from the cuts

I thought that i knew him

I fell for him quick

Such a generous soul

Someone i would pick

But now that he’s gone

I clearly can see

The ghost of that boy

Is gone, finally

Hey y’all! I know I haven’t posted in a while cuz life has been keeping me busy. But i swear i have been keeping up with my writing. I made lots of poems and i will be copying them down into this app as fast as i can! (It will prob take a long time but im trying…😂) I hope you all have been doing good and I don’t even know were this poem came from. I legit just looked up at the night sky and started singing a few days ago. And tada this poem was born! 💚💚💚
