Why Are The Nights White?
Cold and dark
How it always is
Yet in the corner of my eye is a star
Alone and pining
Sitting, crying
And yet she shines so far.
I sit by her,
And ask what’s wrong
She tells me about her favorite song
How it broke apart and left her
How I wish I never met her.
She goes away a final time
Dancing in the dark
I look up, the glow has ended.
Yet another day for a broken heart.
