STORY STARTER
Consider the first scene that the reader will see your protagonist in. Now write a short story about what your protagonist was doing directly before this.
You may not know exactly how you will introduce your protagonist, but you should have an idea of what scene they will first appear.
The Crew
Richard could not believe his luck. If he did not jd e bad luck he would have no luck at all. His normally comfortable bed seemed to be suffocating him instead of comforting him. He knew that losing the account was not going to be good but never did he think it would cost him his job and a possible lawsuit. To make matters even worse hls ex wife had magaged to sign the client to the deal by stealing his research and giving it off as her own. There was a reason they had divorced but he never thought she would sink this low. The dark room that normally was a safe haven was hiding many secret monsters just waiting for him to fall asleep.
