Why do roses have thorns?

Write a poem that discusses this question.

Thornage

Why do roses bear their thorns?

Roses are pretty, similar to other flowers

They have very charismatic powers

But, every rose needs their protection.

Something to help them bear with attention.

Whether unwanted or needed,

Their opinions on the matter are yet to be conceded

Roses need the thorns as a level of support

Something they wear to not get hurt

But, sometimes the thorns don’t stop them from being picked

Even if the person picking still gets nicked

Some people like the way it makes them bleed

Despite them knowing it wasn’t a good deed

The roses use their thorns as a stoplight

Similar to the red color on their petals

The roses attempted to put up a fight

They just want to test our mettle.

I am the rose, and so are you

I bet you can see my point, too.
