POEM STARTER
Write a poem about taking a gamble.
Your interpretation can include the classic ideas associated with gambling, or something more metaphorical.
Minutes Never Seem To Fade To Years
Life is short but time is not,
It stretches endlessly,
And so I’m left stuck with me,
I said I’d wait for better days,
But time chose another way,
It chose not to please my brain,
It chose to please the pain,
Hours tick by but each feels like a day,
I can’t do it anymore,
Can wait for those sweet vanilla days,
I _could_ wait,
And wait some more,
Or I could silence all the pain,
It’s a gamble I think I’ll take.
