The couple; consisting of Miriam and Jacob, found a mysterious bottle that seemed to had been washed up from the sea, Miriam noticed it first and tugged on Jacob’s hands.

“What is it, Miriam?” Jacob’s asked, wondering why Miriam had tugged his hand.

“Look, honey, there’s a bottle,” Miriam replied, looking from the bottle, to Jacob, then back to the bottle. Miriam let go of Jacob’s hand and slowly walked over to where the bottle was laying between a rock and the glimmering sand of this warm morning.

Miriam caressed her fingers across the smooth glass of the mysterious bottle, curious of what could be hiding inside. She felt Jacob’s presence behind her and turned around to look at him, his bright golden green eyes stared back, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. Jacob crouched down next to Miriam and her spot in the sand beside the rock and mysteriously placed bottle, he reached his hand out and wrapped his fingers across the cold glass of the bottle, picking it up and inspecting the engravings in the glass. Miriam ran her fingers over the engravings as Jacob’s held the bottle.

“Should we open it?” Miriam asked, staring at the bottle with a sense of wonder and excitement.

Jacob nodded in response to Miriam’s question and popped the cap of the bottle off, the cap of the bottle had a small starfish engraved on it.
